Html basics

Often students contribute to the notes for this course in their student projects. Previously, students would often provide material in pdf format but it often happened that a mistake was discovered later and we could not easily correct the pdf file. For this reason, contributions to the notes should be provided in html. The format of html is similar to latex. For nonstandard symbols like ö or α, use html entities.

Below are some buttons that load html examples into the textbox on the left which are then rendered in the iframe on the right. An iframe is like a webpage embedded in a webpage. You can modify the text in the textbox and press the 'Execute' button to see how that changes the output.

For more information about html, visit the w3schools HTML tutorial.
