Keithley 2600 Series Sourcemeter

The Keithley 2636 Sourcemeter consists of two source-measurement units (SMUs). Each SMU can source a voltage and measure a current or source a current and measure a voltage. The SMUs have four buttons.

  • SRC Selects the source function (V or A) and places the cursor in the source field for editing.
  • MEAS Cycles through measure functions (V, A, Ω, or W).
  • LIMIT Places the cursor in the compliance limit field for editing. Also selects the limit value to edit (V, A, or W).
  • MODE Selects a meter mode (I-METER, V-METER, OHM-METER, or WATT-METER).

Refer to Chapter 2 of the Keithley 2600 Reference Manual for instructions on how to perform measurements using the front panel.

Using Python

For an introduction to programming a sourcemeter using Python see Diode Measurements with a Sourcemeter.
