Parametric equations in 2D

Parametric equations are used to describe the coordinates of a curve in terms of a parameter. In the examples below, this parameter is taken to be \(t\). This can be interpretted as the time. The parametric equations specify the coordinates \(x\) and \(y\) at every time \(t\).
