Mathematical expression tester

This website uses MathJax to render mathematical expressions. If you want to contribute to the website, you can use this page to write some equations using html and latex and then check to see how these expressions will appear on the website. Below on the left is a text area and on the right is an iframe. An iframe is a webpage within a webpage. When the "Try it Yourself" button is pressed, the contents of the text area are displayed in the iframe.

You need to include the Mathjax header you see in the texbox to the left and then you can put mathematical expressions inline by putting them between $\$$ signs. For instance $x^2$ and $\hbar\omega$ are inline expressions.</p> <p>Centered equations can be included in an equation environment. Put a $\langle\text{p}\rangle$ tag at the beginning and $\langle\text{/p}\rangle$ at end of a paragraph. Section headings can be put between $\langle\text{h3}\rangle$ $\langle\text{/h3}\rangle$ tags.</p> <p>If you copy the text in the left box and save it as an html file, you should be able to open it in any browser and the math should be displayed properly. </p>
